Footwear 3D CGI. Environment Simulation for Salewa

We has develop outdoor footwear Hero Content through dynamic simulations and CGI environment design. This R&D highlights Salewa's resilience: from the lookdev of technical materials to particle systems for snow and rocks, generating high-impact Visual Experiences.

Executive Summary:

To create visually stunning "Hero Content" for outdoor footwear. The goal of this R&D project was to push beyond traditional product presentation, immersing the shoe in an extreme natural environment to highlight the core DNA of mountain gear: pure resilience, protection, and uncompromising performance.

The Challenge.
Conveying the technicality of a high-end mountain shoe requires much more than a standard studio shot. The challenge was to visually communicate "resistance to the elements" by digitally recreating extreme and hostile environmental conditions. It was crucial to maintain absolute photorealism, ensuring that the shoe's textures and the simulated forces of nature felt authentic and physically accurate to the viewer.
The Solution: Research, Development, and CGI
Through intensive R&D in 3D CGI, we designed a complete environmental simulation. We built an entire alpine ecosystem around the product, paying close attention to every technical detail.

Our workflow was structured around three key phases:

Look Development of Technical Materials: We conducted an in-depth visual analysis of real-world shoe materials (weatherproof membranes, reinforced fabrics, high-grip rubber soles). Through a meticulous lookdev process, we accurately recreated how light behaves on these complex surfaces, ensuring a hyper-realistic, tactile finish. Environment Design & Particle Systems: The surrounding environment needed to be a co-star, not just a static backdrop. Using complex particle systems, we generated highly realistic simulations of snow, wind, and rock debris. Dynamic Simulations: We engineered the particles to interact directly with the shoe's geometry. Snow sliding off water-repellent fabrics and rock dust crashing against the rubber infused the entire scene with striking dynamism and realism.
The Result.
This internal study successfully generated a series of High-Impact Visual Experiences. The final "Hero" content does not simply display a shoe; it tells a compelling visual story of extreme durability. The fusion of rigorous technical lookdev and the fluid unpredictability of dynamic environmental simulations allowed us to translate the concept of resilience into powerful, immersive imagery—perfectly demonstrating Blank's capabilities in high-end CGI production.
